More of the Craic

By Ormonde D P Waters     Click here for our interview with Ormonde

No single word in the English language conveys the meaning of the word Craic, which encompasses fun and games, song, dance and, of course, storytelling.

The ancient art of the story teller is shared by the Irish Seanchai and the Australian Bush Yarn Spinner, both of whom preserved much of our heritage, through the oral tradition, while providing popular entertainment at the fireside.

Having spent half of his seventy years in Ireland and half in Australia, Ormonde Waters is well qualified to pose the question.

This collection of yarns, poems and songs, people, places and things, tall tales, historical incidents and funny stories together with personal anecdotes of Ormonde's life is a most enjoyable book.
